History

The Piedmont School of Atlanta (TPSOA) is the result of a collaboration of parents seeking comprehensive educational opportunities for their children. Our goal is to provide children with challenges in learning, language, and social problem-solving, which will help them succeed.  We want our students to know who they are, develop the skills to find their place in a community, and contribute to it.

The School is on the beautiful Oglethorpe University campus in Brookhaven.  The Victorian-style buildings and green spaces provide a peaceful environment to flourish. The University's motto, "Make a life. Make a living. Make a difference," is consistent with the core values of The Piedmont School of Atlanta.  The School's goal is to circumvent obstacles students encounter and replace difficulties with skills that enable children to become independent adults with options to be who they choose and make meaningful contributions to their communities.
